I have good news, and unfortunately, some not so good. The good news is I’ll be announcing an extra show to the (R)evolution Tour on Monday, along with ticket details etc. But, the bad news, it will be on Sep 22, a day that was previously going to be a rehearsal day, and for which we have sold some VIP tickets. The Store info should be updated tomorrow to reflect this.
Those people with tickets for the Sep 22 rehearsal, you can just come on the 21st instead, if that suits you, or you can get a full refund. Any other potential issues or concerns, and I appreciate there might be, I will attempt to address in a message I’ve written directly to those VIP’s that will be sent via the Store tomorrow.
I am really sorry about this. The offer for the extra show came in on Monday, it took yesterday (Tuesday) for us to find out if it was even possible, and I’m writing this today (Wednesday) having said yes to the show this morning.
I’m very pleased to announce that my special guest for the (R)evolution Tour support slot will be Kanga. I first heard of Kanga when someone told me about her brilliant cover of ‘Metal’ and I’ve been watching her career grow ever since. She’s remarkable, in the studio and on stage.
We now have a very limited number of Rehearsal VIP places available for the (R)evolution tour rehearsals in September. The rehearsals will take place in Brighton, East Sussex, on September 13th, 14th, 15th, 16th, 17th and one extra day on September 22nd. More details can be found here.
We also have a limited number of Meet and Greet opportunities for each show on the (R)evolution tour. Meet and Greet details can be found here.
Very excited to announce we’ve added a second London show at The Roundhouse on October 25th. General tickets go on sale today at 10am. You can use this link http://gigst.rs/GN or any of the ticket links on the Tours page.
There is now a pre-sale for (R)evolution tour tickets which will go on sale tomorrow morning (Wednesday) at 10am UK time, ahead of the general ticket release on Friday. If you’d like to get hold of any of these advance tickets from 10am tomorrow please visit this link: http://gigst.rs/GN2019pre
I should probably point out that I hope to play at least one song from almost every album I’ve ever made. Almost.
In September 1979 I embarked on my first UK tour, my first tour ever to be exact. To celebrate that, and the 40 years of life, career (and a lot more touring) that have unfolded since, I’m playing a special 40th anniversary tour this coming September/October. The tickets will go on sale on Friday April 12th at 10am UK time at this address: http://gigst.rs/GN
Excited, and relieved, to be able to announce that the Making Music campaign for the new album will launch tomorrow (Friday, March 22nd) at midday UK time.
The campaign will give you the option of watching, via regular updates, the making of the new album from the very beginning to the very end. If you just want to watch as it progresses, that’s fine. If you like what you hear along the way, or sooner, and you want to pre-order the album you can do that as well. If you want to buy any of the other items that are available you can also do that but, if you are interested in those, it would make sense to get in quickly. Most of the items available are single items, the white label test pressings for example (not all but most), the acetates, musical equipment used in the studio and on tours, clothes and more. Once they’re gone, they’re gone.
We did this before with Savage and your participation, through those pre-orders, was a big factor in getting that album to Number 2 in the UK chart, and for the success of the album overall. You really did make a huge difference. I’m hoping we can do something similar with this campaign, and this album.
