The brand new Gary Numan album ‘Savage: Songs From A Broken World’ is out now.
With a narrative that’s set in an apocalyptic, post-global warming Earth in the not-too-distant future, Gary has once again teamed up with Ade Fenton as producer. Recording sessions took place in Numan’s own studio in LA, and in the UK.
We have a limited number of Rehearsal VIP places available for our rehearsals in Los Angeles on Nov 13th and 14th. If you’d like to sit in and join us on either of those days you can get more info and tickets here.
The new My Name Is Ruin video, directed once again by the incredibly talented Chris Corner of IAMX, has now been added to the Videos section of this site. Shot in the Californian desert, with temperatures reaching 118F/48C, the video looks very much like the post Global Warming apocalyptic world the new Savage album is set in.
The UK tour has started to sell out, with the opening show in Cardiff being the first. From what we can see of ticket sales other shows are soon to follow so it’s an exciting time for all of us involved with the new Savage album. Shows in Leuven and Amsterdam have also sold out, or are very close so Europe is also looking good. Plans for 2018 touring are also now underway and we’ll let you know what that will involve as soon as possible, but look out for a lot more festival appearances next year in many different countries.
We have been able to add one more batch of Rehearsal VIP’s for the final day of rehearsal for the UK Savage tour starting in September. The final rehearsal day will be on Sep 29 and just 18 tickets are available now from the Numan Store
A reminder before I fly to the UK today that the Liverpool show on July 27th, with the legendary Gang Of Four, is the very first show of the entire Savage touring campaign. It will have a somewhat chaotic excitement all its own 🙂 Being able to play new songs is always an amazing experience, but I haven’t forgotten I have a legacy to honor as well, so a mix of old and new. But definitely things I haven’t played for a while alongside the new songs.
